Love endures

My husband and I were engaged 27 years ago today. He proposed to me at dinner with his family at the Dovray Manor. Six months later we were married.
We had met in college barely a year earlier. In college, we had many common friends, but never spoke until my senior year. We met walking to the campus Lutheran center. Our first date was Holy Communion followed by our second date, a spaghetti lunch at church.

Winter 2010: Day 7- woke to a beautiful frost
Winter 2010: Day 7 – I woke to a beautiful frost covering everything in our neighborhood. When I got to work, the sun hadn’t melted it yet. Not a cloud in the sky. So beautiful. This is one of my first views upon arriving at our offices. It is the picture window in my dad’s office. I need a better camera than my phone; it tends to focus on things I don’t want to. I’d like to focus on the frost in the background and the huge American flag flying over the nursing home in the background. Still, its a nice photo. This view is one of my favorite moments of the day.

Winter 2010: Day 6 – my husband rocks!
Rob, and his loyal companion Kirby, spent Sunday afternoon getting the snow off the roof to stem the killer icicles. Now the sun should melt off that dam and we’ve got snow up to the window boxes!
